Preschool workshops are drop off program for ages three or four. These programs are designed for children who are in or will be entering a preschool program. For many it is a first experience in a class environment without a parent. The workshops will include stories, crafts and interactive activities. Pre-registration using the Registration Form for Fall '07 or Winter '08 and prepayment must be made for all programs. You might consider purchasing any of the seasonal books recommended by our instructor Miss Gail below (the Met will automatically get a poertion of your purchase price!).
Times: 10:00 am to 11:00am
Days: Tuesday and Thursday (Tuesday and Wednesday in 2008)
Cost: $12 per student per program for non-Met members. $10 per student per program for Met members.

1/8 — “B” is for Birds Learn how to help our feathered friends in winter.
1/9 — “C” is for Camouflage What animals play hide and seek?
1/15 — Where do animals go in winter? Discover animals who hibernate.
1/16 — Jan Brett’s The Mitten We will read this classic and make our own Mitten
1/22 — Once Upon a Dream Come share your dreams in our dreamland.
1/23 — Snow Fairies Come dance with snow fairies in your crown of snow
1/29 — Frosty the Snowman is in town! Come find different ways to make a snowman!
1/30 — Look Mom no brushes! We will paint and print with many different objects.
2/5 — Christina Butler’s One Winters Day We will read this wonderful book and make our own generous hedgehog.
2/6 — Cheery Cherries! We will do great projects with a cherry on top.
2/12 — Send your love We will make a card for someone special, meet our mailman and send off our wishes!
2/13 — In the Pink! 1 little, 2 little, 3 little piggies.. There are more to piglets than this rhyme!
2/19 — Thar she blows! We will learn about giants of the sea.
2/20 — I’ve got your number We will have fun playing games, reading books and singing songs about numbers.
3/4 — Magic Dragons Help The Met make a giant dragon
3/5 — Who has seen the wind? We will make things that the wind makes move
3/11 — Having a bad hair day? You are the stylist as we create creatures who are really having a bad hair day!
3/12 — Green Galore We are going green and so will you. Bring a green fruit or veggie.
3/18 — Gnomes, leprechauns & other wee folk We will have fun learning about the small and magical
3/19 — Make room for clouds You are sure to be on cloud nine as we learn all about clouds.
3/25 — Building is our business Join us to build your masterpiece.
3/26 — The Wild West Giddy-up and come be a cowboy or cowgirl!
