Members Special: Register your child for five workshops and get the 6th one free!
Pre-school workshops are drop off program for ages three or four. These programs are designed for children who are in or will be entering a pre-school program. For many it is their first experience in a class environment without a parent. The workshops include stories, crafts and interactive activities. Pre-registration (using the Registration Form) and pre-payment must be made for all programs. You might consider purchasing any of the seasonal books recommended by our instructor Miss Gail below (the Met will automatically get a poertion of your purchase price!).
4/1 — Watercolor Wonders We will have showers of fun with color
4/2 — Terrific Turtles Learn about box, water & Snapping turtles
4/8 — Just Ducky! Find out why ducks are all they are quacked up to be!
4/9 — Here comes the Sandman We will create works of art with sand
4/15 — Potato Head Day We will make our own Potato Head. Please bring a white sock.
4/16 — Junk Sculpturing We will take trash to treasure and create a work of art!
4/22 — You Go, Yogurt! We will be cooking up some great recipes with yogurt.
4/23 — “E” is for our Earth Everybody Enjoys The Earth. We will learn about the planet we all share.
5/6 — Down on the Farm We will discover what animals are found on a farm.
5/7 — Spring Peepers We will spring in to learning all about frogs!
5/13 — Ahoy May-T — Me a pirate for the day in May!
5/14 — Birds, Birds and Birds! With spring and summer comes the return of our feathered friends. Let’s put out the welcome mat!
5/20 — Pretzels! When is a pretzel knot a pretzel? Come and find out!
5/21 — Al the Alpaca Learn all about these cute and cleaver animals
5/27 — Be a King or Queen for the day! We will be doing activities befitting royalty!
5/28 — What Sticks? Fun with magnets!
6/4 — Catch up to Caterpillars Have fun with The Mets mascot Curiosity the caterpillar!
6/11 — Decorating Flower Pots Design, paint and plant!
6/18 — Nice Newts Come explore the state’s famous amphibian
6/25 — Collages Be inspired by Eric Carle and create your own collage
7/2 — Beautiful Butterflies Come float and flutter with us!
7/9 — Under the Sea Explore the depths of the ocean.
7/16 — Ice Cream! Join us for an ice cream social and you make the ice cream
7/23 — Let’s Get Moving! Roll with us in busses, truck and vans!
7/30 — Soak it up with sponges Sponges aren’t just for cleaning! Come see what you can do with a sponge
8/13 — “D” is for Dinosaur Learn all about the giants the once roamed the earth
8/20 — Gone Fish-in We will catch, but not release all we will learn about NH fish
8/27 — Sunflower Explosion! See all the things you can do with the flowers of the season
We are kicking off the grand opening of our new exhibit from Stonyfield on 4/22/08 at 11:00am! Families Enrolled in programs this week will receive special gift bags filled with great organic and recycled products!
