Enrichment Programs

Enrichment Programs are drop-off workshops designed for children between the ages of 4 and 6 years old. (Children under the age of 4 may register if they are fully potty trained.) Summer Programs run 9:30 am to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in August. Fall Programs run 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesdays in September through December. You can register for just one or all of the programs in a season. Snacks and supplies are included in the cost of each program.

Tuition:
• $25 per class, per student for non-members
• $20 per class, per student for Met and ACM members
SIx-for-Five Special Just for Met Members: Register for five classes and get the sixth class free!

Please return the registration form with your tuition payment. NO PHONE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. You will receive a confirmation of your registration in the mail. Refunds will be made only if students cancel two weeks prior to the class. A full refund will be made if a program is cancelled.

September is Apple Month!

9/9/08 — Johnny Appleseed
Come learn about this traveler we have to thank for our apple orchards.

9/16/08 — Apple Treats
We will be cooking up delicious treats all from apples!

9/23/08 — Apple Scents
We will tickle our noses with the scent of apple crafts.

9/30/08 — Apple Art
We will print and paint using apples as our tools.

October Brings Beautiful Fall Nights

10/7/08 — Creatures of the Night
Who are the animals that own the night? Let’s peek into their world.

10/14/08 — Starry, Starry Night
We will gaze at the twinkling stars and learn what makes up the night sky.

10/21/08 — Scarecrows aren’t necessarily scary!
We will create a stuffed friend for your front yard! * Bring an old shirt and pants to class*

10/28/08 — Pumpkins!
We will get your porch trick or treat ready for Halloween night!

November is Full of Fall Fun

11/4/08 — Falling for Art from Nature
While nature dries up and goes to sleep we will wake up nature with creative art.

11/11/08 — For the Birds
We will create feeders and homes for the birds in your back yard.

11/18/08 — The Abenaki Native Americans
Learn about the Abenaki and what life was like for a child of this tribe.

11/25/08 — Thanks & Giving
We will be making some special treats to say “Thank you” and “Give” to the holiday table.

December Brings in “The Big Freeze”

12/2/08 — Polar Bear
We will learn all about the big white bears of the north!

12/9/08 — Penguins
We will explore these birds that “fly” under water.

12/16/08 — Snowy White
Come and learn which animals love the winter and how they live.
