The Met makes an interesting and educational destination for field trips by day cares, pre-schools, kindergartens, school classes grades 1 - 3, camps, and other organizations.
Groups of 10 or more children qualify for the Field Trip rate of $5.00 per child and chaperone (paid staff from your organization are free). You can schedule field trips for groups of 10 - 40 children any time available during normal operating hours (see the calendar for already-booked times). Your group can use the Party Room for snacks or lunch only if it is not already booked for a Met program or a party.
Field trip groups larger than 40 children must book on Mondays (when the Met is closed) and pay $80 to rent the facility (in addition to the per-head fee).
For the safety of your field trip group, we prefer a ratio of one adult to every five children.
